Mp3 Exclusive: Making It Right

Here's the scoop on Converge's Kurt Ballou when he's in the producer's chair: quiet most of the time, really meticulous about drums and guitar, super nice dude, turns intno a total sally when his girl comes round. Don't tell anyone we called him a sally. We're pretty sure he'd kill us. And plus, he produced our friend's totally-not-even-remotely-a-metal-band MAKiNG IT RIGHT. (In addition to the show mentioned above, they're also playing closer to home at Bill's Bar on June 20.) Yes, the tall one sits a few cubes over from us here at OTD HQ, dispensing gossip about trust-fund emo kids and the latest Fueled By Ramen intrigue. But that's not why we're posting "Summer Anthem," the leadoff track from their new Ballou-produced EP. We're posting it because this is our fucking summer anthem, bitch. The '80s synths are more Rentals/FOW than P!@TD, but don't tell anyone under 18 we told you so.
