A New GOP Name in Langevin Race
Sources say Bill Clegg, former executive director for ethics and compliance at Textron, is doing the rounds with GOP leaders and weighing a run in the Republican primary for the seat currently held by Representative James Langevin.
Clegg is not a well-known figure in political circles, but has suggested he has some money he could pour into the race. He would enter a GOP field that already includes businessman Mark Zaccaria and lawyer Michael J. Gardiner.
Langevin faces a Democratic primary challenge from former State Representative Betsy Dennigan. All the challengers will have to fight for attention in the face of high-profile races for governor and retiring Representative Patrick J. Kennedy's seat.
