At the ProJo: An On-Line Chat With Senator Reed

As I'll note in my cover story for the Phoenix this week, the Providence Journal has been ratcheting up its web operation as part of a broader re-invention of local news delivery. The paper took an interesting step in that direction this afternoon, hosting an on-line chat with Senator Jack Reed on the health care debate.

The ProJo is hardly the first news outlet to pursue this tack. But it signals a growing maturity for the paper's fast-developing on-line iteration.
