Conservative rabble-rousers have been making headlines across the country in recent weeks with loud protests at town hall forums on health care hosted by Democratic lawmakers. The Rhody Right may have its opportunity now, with Congressman Jim Langevin planning forums here. But they'd better be careful - their screaming counterparts across the country have looked, well, a little nutty.
WARWICK, RI – Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) will host two community meetings during his summer district break. The first is Wednesday, August 19, at the Warwick Police Station Community Room, and the second will be September 3 in Westerly.
“I am looking forward to visiting Warwick and Westerly to hear from my constituents,” said Langevin. “There are many difficult issues facing our nation and it is more important than ever that I be accessible for people to tell me their concerns and ask questions.”
