That it was no longer your father's newspaper became clear when the ProJo, in a dramatic switch from its long-held position, endorsed a Narragansett Indian casino in 2006. Yet it's remains bracing when the Journal, long a bastion of Republicanism on its editorial page, comes out in favor of Obama.
