Softball and RI-related reality TV update

Congrats to Providence Coed Softball League champions Jerky's, who last night toppled perennial champs Blue Moon in a hard-fought and very close best-of-three playoff contest. The characteristically impetuous but inconsistent Wild Colonial squad claimed a towering second-place trophy, now on display behind the bar. (We did, however, beat Jerky's earlier in the season, holding their potent lineup to about eight runs, showing we can hang with the best.)

-- Former Rhode Islander Krisily Kennedy, who impressed us during her appearance on the Bachelor and later did some color work during Sox broadcasts for NESN, dropped me a line today. Here's part of what she had to say.

Since being on the show . . . life has been pretty good to me. I have since moved to Sunny Los Angeles. I have two dogs Izzy and Dozer, who are my life and I live in an amazing neighborhood, and have a great job. I miss my family a lot but, I do not miss the snow, cold, and Ice from little old RI.
