GOP battle for NH intensifies

Ryan Bilodeau, state chair of the College Republican Federation of Rhode Island, is among those working to build Mitt Romney's support in NH. Here's part of an e-mail forwarded this week by Ryan:

A key part of our Get Out the Vote plan for New Hampshire includes the daily transportation of volunteers in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts to New Hampshire from January 4th on through Election Day, January 8th.  The document attached to this email highlights our shuttle pick-up locations.

I’m asking you personally for help because this operation is extremely critical and is sure to be an unprecedented effort. While we have a large base of support in New Hampshire, it will take volunteers from across the region to ensure that each and every one of our supporters makes it out to the polls to cast their ballot for Governor Romney.  Whether by phone or foot, we’ll be fighting for every vote and with an election this important and unpredictable we cannot afford to leave any supporters behind.

Meanwhile, the McCain camp is sounding a "The Mac is Back" (in NH) theme, and just sent out this message:

The volunteers for John McCain in New Hampshire have been nothing short of amazing. Balancing work and family through a long campaign, you have found time to show our voters that Senator McCain should be President McCain. We have no doubt that in a week's time the nation will also hear your message.

Delivering signs, making phone calls, pounding those big 4 x 8's into the now frozen ground, getting to events, bringing friends to events, writing letters, sign waving, talking to people - your efforts have been a critical part of this campaign.

With only 6 days left we encourage you all to continue your volunteer support with everything that you can give. On Primary Day, we need every supporter to turn out to vote and want every undecided voter greeted at the polls by their neighbors who support John McCain.
