Further proof of the RI Apocalypse (II)
Almost a week after last week's infamous storm, we're still seeing effects.
Went out for lunch on Wickenden Street and turned right onto a side street to park, only to find an oil truck blocking the way and the several cars in front of me making U-turns as a result. Found a parking spot and ate lunch. Got back in car and tried cutting down a different side street to get back to Wickenden, only to find cars parked on both sides of a narrow street, making passage impossible.
Meanwhile, BeloBlog reports:
A man was struck by a snow plow and killed this morning while he was walking to work.
The Woonsocket police say 48-year-old Raymond Boucher, “a local,” was on his way to work at the nearby CVS warehouse.
He was struck at around 5:45 a.m. at Cumberland Street near Cass Avenue according to Major Richard Dubios.
