Controversies in reproductive technologies

Brown's Darrell West sends word about this panel discussion slated for tomorrow:

*Debora Spar is the Spangler Family Professor at Harvard Business School and the author of The Baby Business:  How Money, Science, and Politics Drive the Commerce of Conception

*Cynthia Cohen is senior research fellow at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University and the author of Renewing the Stuff of Life:  Stem Cells, Ethics, and Public Policy

*Jenifer Firestone is the founder and executive director of Alternative Family Matters, Inc., an agency that helps lesbians and gay men become parents

 The lecture will take place at 4 pm, Tuesday, Sept. 18 in Salomon 101.  It is free and open to the public.  No backpacks, posters, or banners of any kind will be allowed into the venue.
