I understand that Steve Pagliuca has some serious ground to make up if he's going to win the Democratic US Senate primary. I also understand that the Celtics' recent return to NBA championship status is a feather in Pagliuca's cap. Still, is bringing the NBA trophy on Pagliuca's "Jobs Express" bus really necessary? Or helpful? Or anything other then mega-dorky?
In which I eschew media analysis to examine new Celtic Stephon Marbury--and conclude that he's perhaps the strangest pro athlete in New England history.
A few weeks back, I asked why there are so many ugly instances of Kevin Garnett mixing it up with white players. Among the comments was the following astute observation:
As I read through your list of incidents, what struck me was that
Garnett takes his aggression out - not on white players - but on
players who he's pretty sure won't fight back.
I'm loathe to pose this question, since race is always an incendiary subject, and the alleged concern about Boston's alleged racism that Kevin Garnett was erroneously saddled with upon joining the Celtics has been justifiably forgotten. But I'll do it anyway:
Why do white players seem to bring out the worst in Garnett?
