More on Powell: why no stumping?

At Politico's The Arena, Northeastern professor Alan Schroeder asks a good question that I haven't seen posed anywhere else:

Colin Powell's endorsement knocks the legs out from under the "pals around with terrorists" argument. But if Powell is willing to endorse Obama, shouldn't he also be willing to campaign with him?
