Gawker's Harvard errors

I know, I know--you don't read Gawker for the facts. You read it for the baditude. Still, Gawker's riff on the possible racism of Harvard's cops cries out for two corrections.

Here they are:

1. Harvard's in Cambridge, not Boston. (Which is one reason faux-modest Harvard students should never say they "Go to school in Boston," but that's another story.)

2. Boston's not a hugely white town.

That's all.

are you really linking to an article about boston being majority white and losing twice as many blacks as whites from 2000-2006 in order to prove that the city is not hugely white?

I am indeed, Kerry, because the same article highlights the fact that Boston's population is evenly divided between whites and nonwhites. Not sure if you know the city at all, but that's a pretty big deal.
