Things I Hear With My Ears

Overheard in Portland rarely updates these days (this one, however, gets updated much more frequently). I'd like to start carrying the torch in its absence. Readers, feel free to submit your own eavesdropped gems as comments. 

Heard in Arabica this a.m.: "Frankly, that's what capitalism is all about."

Things I'm pretty sure he wasn't referring to:

1) Marbles

2) My bank account

3) Communism or Facism

4) What I had for dinner last night (undercooked pasta with butter and salt)

5) Homelessness

(I realize this one isn't really that amusing or notable, but I found the statement so...pretentious? definitive? something....I just couldn't get it out of my brain.)
