OMG voting
Just voted at the Merrill Auditorium, with barely any wait. So exciting!!
Interesting scene there, as it's the polling place for many homeless voters. Contrary to what some might think, and despite their lack of an address, homeless citizens can vote -- they can list a shelter or even a park bench as their "official residence." There were several voting-rights advocates and an attorney on hand to ensure that this segment of the population had a smooth time exercising their civic duty.
Also present: city councilor Kevin Donoghue, who voted a few weeks ago, providing "visible leadership" for his constituents, and about-towner Jed Rathband, seen earlier in the morning shaking hands for Senate D8 candidate Justin Alfond outside the Reiche School.
