His real name is Michael Weiner, and he's milking dunderheaded, ignorant goyischer schmucks like you for all the money that you're worth.

Milking money from conservative knuckleheads like this guy isn't really much of a challenge, either -- all you have to do is insult homosexuals and make fun of people with terminal diseases, and they'll all line up to fellate you. If you wanted to milk money from liberals, on the other hand, you'd have to do something more challenging, like present "facts" and "evidence" to back up your claims.

The ironic part is that our double-digit friend Bruce here is from Massachusetts. I thought that all of the treasonous, confederate-wannabe, armchair commentator Republican't shitbags migrated to the "sun belt" years ago.

Hey Bruce -- sorry to disappoint you, but Michael Savage isn't a real conservative. I just wanted you to know I will be bringing Anthems, MA to the Middle East on June 17th for a four-band blog blowout. It's my second indie rock blog show of the summer. (There's at least one show planned each 30 days until September!)

The June 17th show at the Middle East will include Boston's own Anthems, MA and the high energy band Action Verbs. I have brought in headliners The Black and White Years (from Austin) and The Parlour Steps (from Vancouver). Tickets are on sale at the ME box office and through ticketmaster. 18+ night.

If you're ever watched his show you'd see that the biggest debate usually centers around who is the most progressive, him or his guest.

Like them or not but most of the conservative hosts are willing to at least have a liberal guest and debate them on the issues, which can lead to interesting interactions and good radio.

I think the difference comes from where the two ideologies come from. Conservatism comes from a strong central ideology which is pretty well defined. At it's core it's for limited gov't involvement while stressing self sufficiency. Progressivism is about change, and if you ever ask two people how they would change something you'll get 5 different answers.

So it's easier for people with conservative viewpoints to relate to other conservatives. Liking their style is entirely subjective (and I truly wonder how Savage maintains a 8.25 share), but at least on the ideological front, there is a shared vision. Progressives, on the other hand, have more of a spectrum to fill. From Total gov't control to complete anarchy; so it's much harder to find a host who can reach into that audience pool and pull them together.

For example, the hot button topic of abortion. Conservatives tend to go Pro-life with some allowance for limited abortions based on circumstances (rape, incest, health). Progressives can fall anywhere on the map, from Pro-life to Pro-Abortion including partial birth. Any Conservative who takes a pro-life stance will have the understanding of 80%+ of his/her audience. A progressive is almost guaranteed to tick off 60% of their audience no matter where they fall on the scale.

I don't think Olbermann is quite the answer to the the liberal deficit in talk radio. Wait, let me guess, a liberal's right to call him a douchebag is more sacrosanct than his right to speak his mind.

Try again when you have a rational argument to make.
