While the local flair will be in full-effect with live performances by our city's own electro queen, CASEY DESMOND, and spring-fling dance-pop quartet BEARSTRONAUT -- as well as DJ sets by Xavier of GLASS TEETH, providing some dark clouds of glossy pop, and myself, spinning the more sparkling side of my usual dance sets at the pill -- tonight we also welcome the long-awaited Boston debut of PARALLELS

Last night we unveiled the soundtrack to our annual Best New Boston Bands feature, a 12-track compilation spanning metal to electro to psych to folk to indie, available for free download via Bandcamp. Last year we hooked up a handful of mp3s, but this year we're going full-frontal awesome.
Anyone who has read the Phoenix on the regs knows we're pretty sweet on Xavier Gath's dark dance project GLASS T33TH (the calendar has zoomed past October, so there's a moratorium on using the label "witch haus"). And anyone who has listened to Boston Accents on WFNX in recent weeks has heard the nearly seven minutes of electronic experimental-beat mindfuck of Boston trio DEATH SHEPHERD
