He is third in the new Gallup nation wide and is third in Rasumussen's Iowa poll. The fact that he does have dedicated supporters no longer narrowly defines his campaign. The cat is out of the bag and he is gaining wide appeal.

McCain was third at this point in the last GOP primary round. Traction and momentum are the big winners. The worse the economy the better Paul scores. Of course there are those who are scared to death of a Paul presidency and constantly try to push the electable button but that tactic is failing now. Paul will not only do well in Iowa, he WILL win the nomination much to many a pundits surprise.
re: Ames: What To Watch//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/08/08/ames-what-to-watch.aspx#773234Tue, 09 Aug 2011 03:06:40 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:773234Sean Ryan
Ron Paul will win Iowa because he has the most money, the most organizers, the most endorsements, the most attendees, and the most integrity of any contest at the straw poll.
re: Ames: What To Watch//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/08/08/ames-what-to-watch.aspx#773233Tue, 09 Aug 2011 03:00:46 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:773233Sean Ryan
Dave - Paul supporters will not support any other candidate. C'mon, you know that.
re: Ames: What To Watch//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/08/08/ames-what-to-watch.aspx#773209Mon, 08 Aug 2011 17:28:44 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:773209KJ
If Ron Paul beats Pawlenty it won't be something you can dismiss as caused by Ron Paul's 'cult like followers'. As Rasmussen shows, Ron Paul has surged to third place in Iowa, with 16% of the vote and within the margin of error of first place, and this upward surge is immediately preceding the straw poll.

If Ron Paul does well at the Ames straw poll, it is because he is doing well in Iowa.

This isn't 2007.
re: Ames: What To Watch//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/08/08/ames-what-to-watch.aspx#773208Mon, 08 Aug 2011 17:16:31 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:773208Allen M
Pawlenty is done. Bachmann is finished once the tea-party groups find out that she worked as an IRS enforcer for four years (and had the nerve to say God called her for that job). Mitt is a neo-con warmonger. Ron Paul is the only candidate that will end all the wars. Both Republicans and Democrats support endless Wars for Israel, it all started nearly a decade ago under a false flag attack.

9/11 and Israel, here: www.iuniverse.com/.../BookDetail.aspx
re: My W Swann Theory -- Closeted Pro-Gay Money?//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/08/04/my-w-swann-theory.aspx#773098Sat, 06 Aug 2011 15:43:10 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:773098Johnny
WRONG!

Real guy is Edward Conard:

www.boston.com/.../1m_mystery_donor_to_pac_for_mitt_romney_ids_himself

Doh!
re: Keohan Joins King//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/07/26/keohan-joins-king.aspx#771686Tue, 26 Jul 2011 23:03:47 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:771686Chris Tucker
If this implies that Mike is not going to seeks the seat currently filled by Brown, it makes it easier for Elizabeth Warren to run.
re: Obama & Boehner, Quick Take//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/07/25/obama-amp-boehner-quick-take.aspx#771598Tue, 26 Jul 2011 03:08:34 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:771598Not Bernstein
Don't worry, Bernstein - you'll soon learn just how bad the situation is.
re: To The Speaker And President, The Spoils//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/07/21/to-the-speaker-and-president-the-spoils.aspx#771449Fri, 22 Jul 2011 18:04:24 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:771449Johnny
Moran seems to have jumped into major fundraising. Amazing how that must just be a total coincidence with the fact that he has come out of obscurity to lead the redistricting committee. I'm sure none of those people who have suddenly become contributors to him are trying to impact the redistricting process!
re: Lobbyist $$$ In Boston City Council//thephoenix.com/Blogs/talkingpolitics/archive/2011/07/20/lobbyist-in-boston-city-council.aspx#771350Wed, 20 Jul 2011 22:31:30 GMTad053fdd-4c7f-49f6-bf6d-6c53a7e614d5:771350shirley kressel
Registered lobbyist are only a small part of the lobbying army of corporations and lawyers and consultants that give money to buy political influence.
