Let's Get Ready To Rumble!

Now that all the alternatives have been dispatched, we officially have a five-month heavyweight one-on-one slugfest between Republican US Senator Scott "Scotto" Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth "E-Dubs" Warren. I might be the only one using those particular nicknames, but the important thing is that, in a heavily promoted Pay Per View event like this, the contestants need nicknames. Several, if possible.

And the event itself needs a moniker -- something in the "Rumble In The Jungle" or "Thrilla In Manilla" genre.

I have given this a lot of consideration. Well, I briefly kicked it around in my head in the car this morning. I initially came up with "Brains vs. Beauty," in reference to the Harvard professor and the former model. I thought the punny "Battle Of The Bilge" is probably accurate, but not specific enough to this contest, as opposed to other bilge-filled contemporary campaign.

So for now, here's what I've got -- making use of Warren's Oklahoma origins and Brown's Tufts (Jumbos) alma mater:

"Warren vs. Brown: The Okie-finokee Mumbo Jumbo"
