Who are the up and coming individuals not yet in elected office but on their way that we should all know about locally?
Well, I think you should keep your eye on Danny Ryan of Charlestown, who plans to run for Boston City Council if Sal LaMattina wins his race for probate -- and there are some others around the district looking at that race too. There are a whole bunch of relatively young African-American men and women, like Marvin Venay, Chip Greenidge, Michael Curry, Kim Janey, David Halbert, Sheneal Parker, Darrin Howell, Cornell Mills, and plenty more.
Also, keep an eye on the Governor's Council race, for Kelly Timilty's seat. As I mentioned on this blog the other day, Kelly's younger brother Bart, of West Roxbury, is running. And I've learned that Brian Clinton, who is city councilor Rob Consalvo's chief of staff, is also planning to run.
But I'd like to hear from all of you -- who do you think are Boston's political up-and-comers?
