Councilor Pressley's Mother Passes

Sandra Pressley, mother of Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley, has died of complications from leukemia, at the age of 63.

The councilor has been with her mother at the hospital almost constantly for some time, during her bout with the illness. It is a sad loss for her.

It should be noted that Mamma Pressley's daughter achieved a victory last night, with important human-trafficking legislation she championed passing unanimously in the state senate, and now heading to conference committee.
