Q&A #4: Galluccio Successor
"Jesse" asks:
What is your prediction for the Middlesex, Suffolk, Essex special election?
Marjorie Decker starts with a big name-recognition edge, which might be enough in a quick special-election cycle if she runs a good operation. (Her failure to meet last year's signature deadline, which forced her to run a sticker campaign for re-election, was not a great sign of strong organization.) Sal DiDomenico and Tim Flaherty look like they're going to run very organized campaigns, and are being talked about as co-favorites. But with Denise Simmons likely to get a lot of progressive Cambridge votes, will all the Cambridge candidates split the city's vote too thin and allow Michael Albano to steal it?
Forced to make a prediction, I'll go with DiDomenico right now.
