Mercury and mercury

It is very hard to think clearly when it's 90 degrees in a west-facing office.

more mercury stories...

I've seen lots of close-up, real-time misunderstanding on a municipal level, not to mention the irrascible, intractibility that comes when people have already made up their minds and refuse to let facts or even alternative points of view interupt the flow. I'm always reluctant to take on clients during this period BUT it can also be interesting if:

a client HAS natal mercury retrograde; or

is entertaining massive life change or thinking "outside the box." That image always puts me in mind of The Litter Box, which during my entire childhood was an ornament of a corner of the kitchen. We had many cats who thought -- and did worse things -- outside the box, but....

oh, hell, where IS this metaphor going???

start over. I'll be on WEIM 1280 AM with The One The Only Ray "C" Chalifoux Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. so if you have questions astrological, call us up at 978 348 1280. I fully envision I'll be saying, "What?? What did you say???" all night as Mercury Rx. isn't fun for me either....

mercury retrograding

Sally, Question for you. Virgo here with Mercury Retro at hand. I just got my divorce finalized and now need to go about the paperwork to change all my "all important documents" back to my maiden name? Normally I know Mercury Retro is the last time you want to do any important paperwork, but what about something like this when you consider that I'm "going backward"? ~Laurie

Mercury will be Rx until July 10, and I like your logic about going backward. I'll say to you what I just said to a CFO, which is doublecheck your data during this period AND, if you can, do this work when the moon is making a helpful angle to your sun sign. Don't mail documents the day you finish them either. Extra sets of eyes will also help. Thanks for writing.

money money money

moon is waning, out goes the money. Whenever I encounter fiscal stupidity in the world, I go to kiva.org, and find someone in the displaced region of Azerbaijan who's been waiting a long time for a loan for a small business. As an Armenian, I think the astrological gods would be very happy that I'm helping people who probably think the Armenians are terrible. I have been looking through that site for Armenians to lend to, who are struggling in their homeland, but haven't found any. My grandfather escaped and survived the genocide and his descendents get to live in the land of honey and money. wow, it's way too late and I have to talk to hank at 10.....

When Saturn enters Virgo....

On a totally different note, when Saturn leave Leo and enters Virgo, do Gems get affected by that because we have the same ruling planet as Virgo? Thanks! Hi -- Gemini like Virgo is ruled by Mercury, and Saturn square Sun is a time of enormous growth, limit-testing and -setting. Saturn is in Leo now, finishing the last degrees and will enter Virgo for a 2 year transit in September. Both Gemini and Sagittarius will be up for professional challenges and though you may not think you can feel this -- your endurance can be enhanced even as your tolerance for difficult situations ebbs. This is not a time to be squeamish, but you may have to react to "emergency" situations. Which Gems and Sadges usually are pretty good about.

Larry's movie!!!!

will be at the Boston International Film Festival. "Flesh and Blood" is an amazing documentary of a subculture that would totally appall your parents. Saturday, June 9 at 10:30 p.m.

Here's the link: //www.bifilmfestival.com/07session16.html It's totally weird yet emotionally complex -- a unique achievement. Although the subject matter is sensational, the film doesn't take a sensationalistic approach -- it's not exploitative in the least because "Flesh and Blood" is an indepth exploration of fascinating individuals on an extraordinary artistic journey.

full moon weekends

are always pretty intense. There are a ton of group yardsales in our charming purlieu of Massachusetts and I bet they'll all do great. In other news, we have recently acquired 4 mice (who would have been snake food in another week). Having grown up with rodents (and spiders, and cats, and snakes, and whatever else was dropped off or brought home), I thought it might be fun and Little Toddler Dai enjoys them. Every child can learn gentleness by having pets, which is why I get freaked out at the parents who only have some barky dog
