fulling moon

everything's moving a million miles an hour (okay, 17 miles a second) and the moon is still 240,000 miles away but this first quarter to full phase is a killer, isn't it? Good thing you can actually add hours to your day by taking them from the almighty sleep cycle. I'll be at Roots this Friday evening AND Saturday and will be on WTAG, 560 AM from 8 to 9 a.m. taking listener callins on Friday. Info on all this (I hope) at moonsigns.net. Hopefully you're reading the uptodate moon signs forecast on the LIFE page also -- this not a week for the shy thanks to a moon/mars opposition.

mars oppositions

When I do astrological tarot readings, I usually find the day has some kind of theme going on. Last time it was Virgo sun/Virgo moon people. Sometimes it's the same grouping of cards -- the 6 of pentacles is very popular no matter how many times things are shuffled. This week, the theme was Mars oppositions. If you're a Leo or have heavy Leo in your chart, take your health, sanity, environment, personal life very seriously. You will not be at your best and you will feel helpless -- which is not comfortable for Leo, although they can be genius complainers/explainers. Don't push it guys

spring

I'm about to get very busy producing "Stratton Spring Break -- a Festival of short plays" out here but wanted to note the passing of the astrological year, and spring equinox. Unbelievable what the landscape looks like today vs. last Friday although Mr. Dai and baby dai and myself have been SKIING several times this week! There is absolutely nothing better (except ice skating on a frozen pond, snorkelling in the caribbean or biking down a hill." Baby dai has been on an intermediate trail and occasionally has let go of daddy dai's hand. Sun in aries is all about being brave.

Speaking of transitions -- I'll be at ROOTS next Friday, but it's already booked AND also Saturday, april 14, with days still available for astrological tarot reading. Also doing a "natal horoscope" class at Cambridge Center at the end of May. I'll be on WTAG for an hour next Friday at 8 a.m. (560 AM) taking listener calls -- ditto, on WEIM this coming Tuesday (1280 AM) from 6 to 7 p.m. That's more than enough for now....

Button Box Shadow Theatre

Not just for little kids. That's a drunk being tormented by a psycho yuppie woman. Performed last Saturday at turners falls. "Sammy's Game" by Christopher Lockheardt (Hi chris!). We also do stories approrpriate for all government funding :-)

Fireday

Today I talked on the radio about Deval Patrick's woes, etc. Hubris seems to be a guiding principle here but as a Leo, having Aquarius oppose his sun this month, isn't helping. Hopefully he'll figure things out or at least LOOK more competent after the first week of April, when Aquarius moves into pisces...

more merc. rx

I'm on hold to get my son's fluoride prescription (we have a well), which was supposedly called in 2 weeks ago, and was to the wrong pharmacy, and was then called in to the right pharmacy but with the wrong prescription. This is not counting the times I called the office only to find that they only work until 1:45 or something unpredictable.

Classic Merc. Rx is what I say....

merc rx and roots

Thanks to everyone who came in for an astrological tarot reading on Saturday. I was busy all day long and couldn't take the walk-ins. My next time there will be march 31, but I will probably schedule another half-Saturday due to demand. It's really exciting that there's the interest and my brain is completely exercised (and exhausted).

So I recharged by making shadow puppets with my cousin Susan Cragin whose book, "Nuclear Nebraska" comes out in June. (I wrote visiting Nebraska last June). We are performing a very disturbing original one-act by Christopher Lockheardt called "Sammy's Game" next Saturday at Shea's Theatre in Turner Falls. Once you head west on Route 2 and get past Gardner it's all Falls in various states of economic health.

Merc. Rx is kicking my life to the curb. TWO watches bit the dust including my $5 St. Louis yardsale Seiko. I will NOT get these repaired until after Tuesday because I have learned that machines fritzing out during this transit enjoying staying fritzed. Lots of my Saturday folks had: bills for the wrong amount, wrong turns, mislaid information, mislaid keys, amounts written down wrong and other Mercury mishaps. . . .

What else.... The eclipse was....unclouded and awe-inspiring. I have an atavistic response to these. Oh, and I'm on Ray C on WEIM 1280 AM Monday at 6:05 pm which I am every week. Merc. Rx has made it REALLY difficult to be calling him on time. You all should listen -- he's fabulous and has great gifties to give away....

skiing

Finally got out there! Moon in Leo encourages exhibitionism and at our local mountain, the kids were amazingly restrained. Remember, it's still mercury retrograde and I want to hear your stories! Lost keys? Lost way? Lost information? I've got a TON of projects I'm keeping in abeyance until after March 7. But will be at ROOTS in Leominster this full moon eclipsey Saturday from 10 to 5 978 534-7668. 100 Crawford St., Leominster, just off route 2.
