The Obama Budget
We've refrained so far from commenting on Obama's very progressive programs in his recently released budget because, to be honest, most of the change he proposes will never see the light of day. Budgets are political documents -- not legislative ones. And, given the downward direction of the economy, most of what he's planning looks terribly unfeasible at this moment.
In the middle of a recession, did he make a mistake by proposing so much change before getting the nation back on the right economic track? That's what Ted Van Dyk thinks.
