Bad News For Hillary: In One Poll, A Majority of Voters Wouldn't Vote For Her Under "Any Circumstances"
According to the latest Mason-Dixon poll, Hillary Clinton has a huge problem. The question put to voters was this:
"I am going to read that list of names again. This time, I want you to
assume that person is the 2008 presidential nominee of their political
party. Please tell me if, today, you would or would not consider voting
for them as the next President of the United States.
`Would' means that you would at least consider voting for that
candidate depending upon circumstances, while `Would not' means that
you would not vote for them under any circumstances."
A whopping 52% said they would never vote for Clinton. Obviously if that poll is correct, she's a goner in a general election.
Other polls, of course, have shown her beating anyone in the currrent GOP field. So, either Mason-Dixon is wrong or those other polls are incorrect, at least for now. But no matter what, she's clearly not whom the Democrats should nominate if they want to put forth their strongest candidate -- unless she changes a lot of minds.
