Haiti Body counts continue to rise

Despite some of the miraculious stories coming out of Haitit about rescues and the aid that is being given to the nation, the body count has continued to rise above 50,000.  All of this started when a 7.0 Magnitude earthquake hit the island on Tuesday.

 

 

Court rulings may allow MA residents to buy wine on the internet

 

The 1st circuit court of appeals ruled Monday that a law, which restricted out of state wine distributors to directly ship to MA consumers, was unconstitutional in a Federal appeals court of Thursday. FULL STORY.

Apparently Scarlet Johanssen likes fast food? Who would have thought, but anyway that leads us to our game this morning titled, Scar Jones drives through.  The breakfast show played a clip of Scarlet ordering from a mystery restaurant and based on what she ordered our listeners had to guess which restaurant she was ordering at.  Today’s winner was pat bell from NH who correctly guessed that Scarlet was craving KFC this morning.  Congratulations Pat!

Andrew Felnon calls into the breakfast show

Former American Idol hopeful Andrew Felnon called into the show this morning to discuss his verbal altercation with American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi during his recent Boston audition.  Andrew did not have any intention to cause a problem initially during his audition, but as a last minute decision he decided to “show the judges who was boss”.  To see Andrew’s full audition click HERE.

Sports update with Pat D.

 

Pat had quite a bit to rant about this morning as Boston sports as a whole has taken a tumble over the last 2 weeks.  You could tell that Pat was clearly upset…well mainly because he swore 57 times, not wuite a record but he managed to get his point across.  With suggestions to society such as letting Pete Rose into the H.O.F and building a steroid Hall of Fame, Pat truly is a pioneer.

In a tribute to MLK Jr. day on Monday Fletcher decided to dedicate his top 4 downloads to songs about, or related too, MLK.  U2 made two appearances in the countdown at #4 and #1 and take the top spot with “Pride (In the Name of Love)” If you would like to hear the top song today you can Listen HERE.

Professor Rob Thompson of Syracuse university

 

When it comes to television.  Rob Thompson is your man, the Syracuse professor gave his take on the current late night show drama on NBC,  Thompson thinks a decision is coming soon, every indication is that leno will go back to the tonight show, Jimmy Fallon will stay put and Conan will likely leave the network.  NBC is concerned about losing leno to the competition. Does not believe that the fans are going to have much to do with what happens at the network.  He also believes that Leno was the least innovative of the big 4.

 

Ronnie Faisst, a member of the Nuclear Cowboyz, Visits the studio
