Maura Johnston Interview

Music blogger Maura Johnston checked into the breakfast show this morning to talk about the latest music news.  The first topic for discussion was American Idol.  Maura said that the season is “off to a rough start” but says that the show as a whole is trying to regain its footing after the sudden departure of judge Paula Abdul.  However, Maura and Fletcher both agree that General Larry Platt’s rendition of “Pants on the ground” has not only saved the show, but has potential to be the next big hit in the states.  Maura also discussed the status of Vampire Weekend’s new album which is expected to surpass Kesha’s “Animal” next week.  Vampire Weekend’s album is titles “contra” and is now in stores.  For more music news you can visit Maura’s blog by clicking HERE
