Okay, okay, so we missed a few nights in this countdown. Blame it on Sandy, that party-crashing harpy. Plus, wasn't the rabid crush of humanity raiding every supermarket in town over the past few days in search of canned good and bottled water scary enough? Still having nightmares about the lines at Trader Joes on Sunday night. But the crisis has been averted -- here in Boston, at least -- and it seems Halloween 2012 will go off without too much of a hitch after all.
