Meet the Mayor: Winsor Dim Sum Cafe
Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in
their natural habitats.
Winsor Dim Sum Café
Max Bulger
Do the fortune cookies contain really general advice, or do they tell you useful stuff?
With
fortune cookies, it's a mixed bag. Sometimes you'll get hit with one at
a good moment. It was one of my best friends who got this one, but it
resonated with me. "If strength was everything, lion would not be afraid
of scorpion."
What kind of laws would you enact on Winsor Dim Sum if you went mad with power?
I'd
try to keep it in check, ‘cause I want other people to enjoy it. But
one thing they have at Winsor's is soup dumplings. The Chinese call them
xiao long bao. Some people eat those all wrong. I've seen people spilling those everywhere, messing up.
People shouldn't eat the soup dumplings?
You've got to eat the soup dumplings. Just don't be a clown. Don't mess up the soup dumplings.
What if you were mayor of a population the size of China's?
I
guess I would make a rule that everyone has to take some time out of
their day to enjoy dim sum together. I think everyone would be a lot
happier.
