Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in
their natural habitats.

The War on Christmas:
liberal conspiracy, or figment of conservative imagination?
I don't like it. I guess there was some senator - I can't remember
what state it was, but they had the big lighting of the tree at the state
house, and he called it a holiday tree. It's a Christmas tree! You're not going
to say, "This is a holiday menorah," if you're lighting a menorah.
I have a holiday
menorah at my apartment.
Do you have red and green lights on it, just to be really
PC?
... Kind of. Yeah.
I mean, to each their own. I just don't like not being able
to say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hanukkah" or "Happy Kwanzaa."
The commercialization
of Christmas: how awesome is it?
It's awesome and horrible at the same time. It's nice
walking through Newbury Street
in the Christmas season, when all the stores are decorated. On Christmas Day, I
don't really care about the presents. I just want to be with people who are
important to me. However, I do like getting things. And I do love Christmas
movies. I watched The Muppet Christmas
Carol last night. It's amazing.
