Denny's doubles down and creates their own gross (and misguided) sandwich

Most of America is still reeling from KFC's Double Down (and coming to terms with our newly minted diabetes) and now Denny's hits us with THIS. Looking like a dish that could quite easily make the cut on This Is Why You're Fat, the Fried Cheese Melt is exactly what it sounds like. Except a lot grosser. With a side of fries. The good people at Dennys, ever fighting the good fight against childhood obesity, have taken some greasy mozzarella sticks and shoved them face-first into a massive grilled cheese sandwich. Why? Because they can. They must be in cahoots with the people over at IHop, who came up with the never-ending pancakes, a self-replenishing stack of doughy goodness designed to keep the average unemployed calorie-chaser busy for hours and hours.

We're not arguing that this doesn't sound delicious. Gives us one or six pitchers of PBR and a healthy bong hit and this is going to Hit. The. Spot. It just seems altogether unnecessary, is all. And, frankly, nutritionally irresponsible. If you are going to sample one, however, may we suggest you pair it with a frosty one of these. And then maybe, if you haven't lapsed into a cheese coma, you'll be inspired to do something like this. Or maybe not.
