New York media to Boston media: Drop dead

The big newspaper story this weekend locally is the New York Times's threat to shutter the Boston Globe, which Adam Reilly broke on Friday. But in Friday's news cycle, the bigger national story was NBC's threat to revoke WHDH's network affiliation unless Channel 7 takes Boston homeboy Jay Leno's new 10 o'clock show -- a show that Channel 7 has made clear it does not want.

no one is really stating the obvious here: that Boston is increasingly being forced to eat shit from their New York media bosses N- and that

First of all, nobody believes that the Times is going to close the Globe next month. And nobody believes that NBC is going to make Bostonians watch The Office on Telemundo.

Tomorrow, Red Sox opening day will begin anew our season-long rivarly with the Yankees. If you happen to see a Globe sportswriter, please try not to trip over his spare-change cup.
