In keeping with my trend of doing crazy shit for the sake of entertaining Phoenix readers/WFNX listeners, I hopped onstage at Mottley's Comedy Club last week to host and participate in Mortified, a storytelling show that features people reading from their teenage journals, school assignments, poems, lyrics, letters, etc. Real, live, genuine, angsty crap.
Thankfully (for you, anyway), the Phoenix was on hand to capture the whole humiliating thing. Behold! A podcast for the ages, in which I read from my existentialist teen diaries, comedian Ken Reid reveals that he once had a story published in YM, and others break our hearts with tales of teen heartache that are painfully funny.
Of course, I whored the show out the day before, too. Click here to listen to my appearance, with Karen Corday, on WFNX.
