24 Season Seven will either be really terrible or kind of awesome

So the seventh season opens with Bauer on trial in DC for war crimes. No more CTU. Okay, fine, probably exactly what they had to do. Not a tremendous surprise.

What is a surprise is that TONY ALMEIDA IS COMING BACK. WOW. WE ALL THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD AFTER SEASON FIVE.

The all-caps makes us sound excited, but it's partial horror as well. Are they really expecting us to swallow this? Just uinimaginable hubris by the writers and producers, here.
