Anna Wintour Gets Burned

No, it wasn't by tempermental Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, although I don't blame you if that was your first guess. Too much tanning makes people crazy. Actually, the person who gave Wintour a delicate little taste of her own vitriol was NYT style scribe Cathy Horyn. Horyn's Citizen Anna feature has gotten everyone from Radar's Fresh Intelligence to my new favorite blog Fashionista.com crowing Bitchslap. In the piece, the ballsy critic calls out Wintour for bribing heads of venerable design empires with Vogue coverage, if they appoint her picks for open positions. Even without the juicy finger-pointing, this is still brilliant study.

Horyn, I applaud you for your courage, but I hope you enjoy your life-long stay on Wintour's Shit List. Please don't be surprised if most of the designers at Fashion Week conveniently "forget" to save you a seat by the runway.
