In this day of social networking, it's damn near impossible to keep focus and not get wicked jellz of the Super Awesome Lifestyles of everyone around you. You're at work, suffering, or you're dealing with the family, who won't stop nagging, or the pets, who are shitting on the new carpet, or whatever else sucks the life out of your day. The world seemingly has never-ending F.U.N., posting Instagram photos of awesome meals and parties and taking sexy selfies while you're bored at home hoping the free preview of NHL Center Ice hasn't yet expired. Then you pop 75mg of Benadryl and hope to pass out before Fallon.
Boston-bred/Brooklyn-based MIC RAYGUN feels this pain. In his new video for "Try Me," off December's Eating The Timid EP, Mr. 'Gun is laying bleeding, ready to die, post-ass-whuppin', while the world parties around him, DGAFing their way in and out of the clubs and raves that he can't get into because he's about to get vicked by some dude and bleed to death on the roof of the building.
"The video represents how people move on with their lives even when others are down or dead," says Mic Raygun. "There's always pain in this world, but the party goes on regardless."
Life is pain. Keep on dancing. Kitty Genovese only happened in your mind.
