Boston Accents 01.14.13: Tony Jones & the Cretin 3, Mister Vertigo, Night Rally, the Fagettes, Trabants, Star Spangled Bummer

Happy Monday everyone, and the start of a new week brings some rad news. Allow me to welcome THE SOUND MUSEUM as the new official sponsor of BOSTON ACCENTS. The long-standing rehearsal and studio complex is this year celebrating 30 years of being a part of the Boston rock scene, and we couldn't be happier having them a part of the WFNX family. Now, on to today's jamz...

TONY JONES & THE CRETIN 3 “Midnight Mass” -- Getting started with some Providence psychobilly on this DGAF Monday.

TRABANTS featuring PROM QUEEN “Motionless” -- New jam from Eric Penna and crew, featuring Prom Queen out of Seattle. To be featured on this week's Phoenix mixtape; Trabants plays Precinct in Somerville on January 26.

THE FAGETTES “Gonna Die Out Here” -- New track from the band that "crushed" at Great Scott over the weekend.

FAT CREEPS “700 Parts” -- Split 7-inch with ZEBU off Feeding Tube Records on the way soon, and they're at O'Brien's Pub on January 24 with Pile, Bunny's A Swine, and MiniBoone. Excellent show, that.

MISTER VERTIGO “Everyday Is Like Sunday” -- ...one of the tracks on Mister Vertigo's new EP Taciturn, out this Friday at T.T. The Bear's Place. The EP also includes this cover of the 1988 Mozzer classic.

DOZE “H.B.B.T.” -- Band to be included in next week's Class of 2013 feature in the Phoenix.

MMOSS “Hedgecreeper” -- Getting some flute action in this bitch with an early MMOSS tune.

STAR SPANGLED BUMMER “Track Meet” -- Help this awesomely-named band get more than six likes on Facebook.

NIGHT RALLY “A Birthday Party” -- Throwback jam to close it out. The Cambridge post-rock (?) trio from roughly a half-decade ago has posted all their music up on the internets.
