Boston Accents 12.12.12: MVSCLES, Night Rally, Friendly People, Satellites Fall, Bent Shapes, Creaturos, M|O|O|N, Birthdays

MVSCLES “Sweet N Sour” -- Nicked this off the August Allston Pudding compilation, electronic duo that's a breakout pick for 2013.

SATELLITES FALL “One Night” -- New track from Boston/Providence rock quartet, off Midday Records. Playing the Middle East on January 14.

BENT SHAPES “Panel of Experts” -- Ben P and his krew released a new flexi-disc today, celebrating all things 12.

NIGHT RALLY “A Birthday Party” -- Got a bit nostalgic for this mid-2000s Cambridge trio last week during the Throwback Accents, so I dug the internets around and found you can score the band's entire catalogue via their website, including demo The Elegant Look of New, their split with Clickers off Honeypump, and LP Preston Family Crest Go get it.

CREATUROS “James Days Milk Shake” -- Off this year's Swampp Thingg cassette release, the band is playing Pizzeria Regina on New Year's Eve with You Can Be A Wesley, Boytoy, and the Migs. There is no cover and pizza slices are only $1. Cool.

UNDERWATER BEAR BALLET “Naked In A Plastic Coffin” -- Demo cut posted recently from a batch all recorded in just one take, allegedly. Playing the Lily Pad in Cambridge on January 25. We have some time.

FRIENDLY PEOPLE “New York” -- Featuring Mitch and Sebastian from Infinity Girl, releasing new record Shake tomorrow night at the Middle East alongside...

BEAR LANGUAGE “Ventriloquist Part 2” -- ... this band, which offers up a pretty good live show, as we're told.

FAT CREEPS “Nancy Drew” -- About a year ago this little bit of musical ennui turned me on to the word of the Creeps. Now there is no looking back. They're doing a split release on Feeding Tube Records very soon.

BADKNIGHT “Just Like That” -- Meant to spin this earlier in the week before the duo's show at Great Scott, my bad.

SINNET “Castlevania” -- Standout jam from 2012.

EARLY NINETIES “XLR” -- Electronic duo one of my breakout picks for 2013. Playing the Paradise with Break Science on December 29.

M|O|O|N featuring GLASS TEETH “Warehouse” -- Recently featured on the Friends of Andre compilation.

BIRTHDAYS “Howolding Girls” -- Closing it out with some experimental tropical pop from Sammy Yager, all around solid dude.
