Boston Accents 11.09.12: Dance party, w/ Human Sexual Response + Stereo Telescope + Bodega Girls, Magic Man, SPF5k

Friday edition on BOSTON ACCENTS, so we brought the dance party. Kicked off with some throwback Humans, then rolled into the juice. A shorter playlist than the past few days, in number of songs, as we let a bunch of these play out their full six minutes. Dance it up.

HUMAN SEXUAL RESPONSE “Jackie Onassis” -- Opening with the Humans, who play their first Boston show in 25 years tomorrow at the House of Blues, a show moved from the Paradise due to ticket demand. Read up on Jonathan Donaldson's Cellars feature on the legendary Boston band in this week's Phoenix.

HUMAN SEXUAL RESPONSE “What Does Sex Mean To Me?” -- Well, he asked you a question?

BODEGA GIRLS “Surf’s Up America” -- Shout out to everyone that rules, the Bodegas just filmed a video for this a few weekends ago.

MAGIC MAN “Monster” -- Track from 2010, heard rumors this Boston/Providence crew recently hooked up with New York's Neon Gold Records.

SPF 5000 “White Hot Fantasy” -- A staple of the Accents Sunday night show on the FM, helping us get ready for the weekend in steamy electro-funk fashion. Peep some remixes

STEREO TELESCOPE “Geography (Casey Desmond Remix)” -- The remix treatment for a track released last year but one that's be on the Brighton synthpop duo's debut full-length out in January.

ICONA POP “I Love It (Case & Point Bootleg)” -- Allston production duo's bootleg of the summer anthem nearing 100,000 spins on Soundcloud. I think we premiered this on FM back in the spring.

AVOXBLUE “Dreaming Through Your Eyes (Andre Obin Remix)” -- Jimmy Rossi is out on tour in Germany right now.

YOUNG LONDON “Dangerous” -- BMA-nominated act, up for Song of the Year for "Call My Name (Tonight)."

WASTED TALENT “Paid Vacation” -- So much going on this weekend, it feels like a Paid Vacation. Peep the video at the end of this post, I'm in there somewhere, throwing Spaghetti-O's at Nabo Rawk and Paul Foley.

STREIGHT ANGULAR “Everyone Is Syncopated” -- This J A M up for Song of the Year in the Boston Music Awards. Shout it out. S-Angz are at Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge on Wednesday.
