[tonight in cambridge] Brooklyn's Cult of Youth @ the Middle East (+ new video)

Last month, Brooklyn's CULT OF YOUTH released their second full-length for Sacred Bones, Love Will Prevail. For an experimental band that plays with minimal psychedelic folk and gothy, monotone post-punk, the songs on Love Will Prevail are unusually hooky. Tonight, the band -- which is mostly the songwriting project of Sean Ragon, who has been writing and recording under this name for five years -- brings those songs to Boston, as they launch a North American tour with a show at the Middle East. War of Words and Subclinix open.

To coincide with the tour kickoff, earlier today the band released a video for the album's excellent first track, "Man and Man's Ruin". The video was shot in a Copenhagen town called Dronningmølle and was directed by Kristian Emdal, Loke Rahbek and Elias Bender-Rønnenfelt of VÅR. Check it out below, along with some additional cuts from Love.
