[sunday @ sea] Boston Rock and Soul Festival takes to the harbor (no, not that Harbor)

Just in time to save us all hundreds of dollars by seeing Pulp, Hot Chip, and Sleigh Bells play the Coachella Cruise, the BOSTON ROCK AND SOUL FESTIVAL 2012 is here to bring (surprisingly affordable) good music to the shores of our city this weekend. Naturally, this sea-soul excursion set for sail July 29 is lead by Christian McNeill's SEA MONSTERS, and also features WILL DAILEY (in his second On The Download appearance today!), ROY SLUDGE, DENNIS BRENNAN, and others.

Did we mention that it’s on a boat?

While you may not be riding on a dolphin, doing flips and shit, you can grab a beer and enjoy both the scenery and music from some of our city's finest. Tickets are $25 through Sunday, and then get bumped up to $30 if you buy them at the door, you landlubber. The boat boards at 2 pm, and then departs to parts unknown an hour later.

Watch out for icebergs, guys. We don’t need a rock and roll Titanic in our harbor.
