[free download] Case & Point remix of Icona Pop's summer jam "I Love It"
The unofficial competition for Song of the Summer 2k12 ended in May when Swedish electro duo ICONA POP released their tidy banger track "I Love It." Most people did, in fact, love it from their very first listen (including us), though on repeated spins it was obvious that, at just over two minutes long, the shout-along breakup song was practically begging for a long-form re-boot that would transform it from fun indie buzz cut to a true nightclub anthem.
Enter Boston dance music production duo CASE & POINT, whose big-room house banger bootleg of Radiohead's "Everything In Its Right Place" has already surpassed 20,000 plays and 400 downloads on Soundcloud after being posted just a month ago The past few weeks have seen the tandem of Casey Vadum (Repeat Offenders) and TJ Jordan (formerly of Black Light Dinner Party) now tackle "I Love It," and the result is a monster club hit that elevates the jam to new heights, and it should catch the attention of not only DJs around the world, but the ladies of Icona Pop themselves.
Boston Accents premiered the track last Sunday on WFNX, and now the Case & Point bootleg has been posted on Soundcloud, where it's available as a free download. Do you love it? We're sure you do.
