There's a chance that you may not know too much about Providence's VIO/MIRE. But by the end of this clip shot a few weeks ago by Cambridge-based Red Hot Box Studios, you'll be desperate for more. Brendan Glasson's orchestral pop project is the latest "Live From Red Hot Box Studios" session; a one-shot journey into the songwriter's gaze in front of a background that leads your eyes to each far corner of the screen.
The yearning "Foxes," which draws from the likes of Bright Eyes and Death Cab, is the lead track on last month's Four Songs collection Glasson recorded in late-2011 and earlier this year at Ponyville and Pleasant Valley in Rhode Island. Beyond that, we admit don't know too much about Vio/Mire, who's been releasing music steadily since 2005 or so. But after replaying this striking clip a few times, we're spending our Friday Googling the fuck out of him.
