When it comes to Lansdowne, WFNX is letting the locals run with the big dogs. First it was Earthquake Party playing with Surfer Blood at Disorientation Night 2 a few weeks ago, then this past Friday it was Mean Creek taking the big stage at the House of Blues for the second Miracle holiday show alongside Matt & Kim and Mutemath (it was M-M-M good, k?).
Tonight it's THE BYNARS turn to hit the bright lights, as they join recent Glee darlings FUN. in closing out the third and final installment of DISORIENTATION 2K11 at the Lansdowne Pub. It's a free show, so all you gotta do is RSVP to get in. Doors open at 7pm, and the Bynars hit the stage an hour later.

Last time we caught up with the By-naros Crew, back in our Spring Preview, they were prepping the release of their sterling synth-romp of a self-titled record, which dropped on Star Wars day. Clearly this band rules and is the perfect Boston representation before a free night of fun.
Here's what we wrote back in March:
THE BYNARS | Great Scott | May 4 | What in the name of IG-88 are a band named after a Star Trek reference doing releasing an album on Star Wars Day? Maybe the Fourth will be with the Bynars, who drop a debut album with Death Star dance parties in mind. New single "How Does It Feel To Fall in Love?" is a frenetic synth-rock romp fit for Max Rebo.
