It's been a good week for Boston's top-shelf selector DJ KNIFE. First he got nominated for DJ Artist of the Year in this year's BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS -- in a pretty killer category alongside FRANK WHITE, KON, LEAH V and PAUL FOLEY -- and then got hooked up with a patent for his performance moniker courtesy of our good ol' United States government (attn: wannabes: drop the Knife).

The deets from Knife: "So here's my latest installment (and possibly my last) of my "chainsaw-dubstep" series. This time a bit heavier, but similarly broken up by some non-dubstep tracks to ease the abrasiveness. Hope you freak out and throw something. Oh and thanks to all of you bros who are responsible for coining the 'bro-step" genre. Dicks. This shouldn't be music to grind your girlfriend to, it should be theme music for flipping over a car after the Bruins win...(wait a minute)...Anyways, at the end of the day you like what you like for however long that lasts.
