Welcome to the Ghost Host edition of the Boston Accents playlist recap! As you may or may not know, I landed my dumb ass in the hospital earlier this week, and was discharged around 4pm this afternoon. Doctors told me I needed to stay in bed a few days after release, so to keep the BOSTON ACCENTS momentum alive, we decided to load up the setlist with nominated songs from this year's BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS, which were announced on Tuesday (pre-hospital, bro). Then we set up a Cover It Live chatroom and I held court as we talked all things BMAs -- from predictions to snubs to how many awards, even in the hip-hop categories, the Dropkicks would win. It was a good time, and thanks to all who participated. It was a bit of an experiment, and one we look forward to implimenting further -- shows like these thrive on listener interaction.
Here's a fast recap of the songs we heard, and remember, VOTE NOW FOR THE 2k11 BMAs.
Please note: Song selections are NOT endorsements, just shit we had loaded in the WFNX system and readily available on two days notice. Sickness never says when, kids. Links, show news, and debuts all return next week when I'm back on my feet...
