[listen up] Orca Orca "Change of Pace/Get Up (Get Out)," October 23 @ O'Brien's

Photobucket

We will probably have more to say about this in the next few weeks, so consider this post more about the music than the message.

But we've had these two new songs from Allston-based dream-pop bedroom project ORCA ORCA in our collective heads all week, and it's time to share. I was going to wait until Sunday to "debut" them on Boston Accents, but fuck it, do check'em out now. The brains behind Orca x2 (our new pet nickname) is Jim Hewitt, who used to create sounds as Young Minds.

To make this ultra-timely, catch Orca Orca playing O'Brien's in Hewitt's hometown 'hood of Allston on Sunday, October 23 for a CQ Presents show with New York's Lights Resolve, so consider this an advance warning. In the meantime, peep these two songs off the "Change of Pace" digital 7-inch, which are available for free download. So good.
