With a budget of about $43, a bag full of monkey masks, two cans of warm Spaghetti-Os, a few dozen eggs, buckets of confetti, a mad Irishman with a bat, a drunken club kid, an inflatable kiddie pool, hula girls, cream pies, a pig-faced flasher, autograph-seekers, cheerleaders, vats of mustard, and a fancy lady in a gorilla suit, and a trumpet, WASTED TALENT took to Torbert McDonald Park along the Mystic River in Medford last Sunday and shot their new video for "Paid Vacation."
It's certainly no "Khed" -- really, what is? -- but this one-camera / one-take music video not only features Nabo Rawk and BMP Party host Paul Foley getting beaten, pelted, molested, and abused by random characters along the park's pathway, but also a very special cameo by yours truly at the 2:57 mark. Yes, that's me blasting Foley in the grillpiece with what was left of my can of Spaghetti-Os (that shit was mad tasty, even warm, and I couldn't help but dip into the can as the duo's walk of shame took forever to get to my station).
The video was shot by Mick Murray, and well, it certainly was a fun way to spend a Sunday. Our collective sticky mess was cleansed by the purifying waters of Foley's parents' in-ground pool up in Revere.
Good times, khed.
