So this is pretty fucking sweet cure-all to those goddamn Monday blues. As you may already know from Nolan Garwon's excellent feature in this week's issue, Boston-bred DJ duo SOUL CLAP are strong proponents of sexy time. Poised to drop the next installment of DJ Kicks
alongside brothers-from-another-mother Wolf + Lamb, the foursome are
currently hopping continents in support of the highly anticipated mix
disc. Presumably amidst the litany of vinyl baggage checks, they found time to offer up this mighty sultry mix for BBC's Essential Mix.
If you're not familiar with the long running Radio 1 program, just know
that Carl Craig mixed the last one. And if you don't know who Carl
Craig is, well, we just don't know what to tell you. This
two hour mix jumps genres from disco to house to hip-hop and back
again, using only wax (!!!) at that. It's seemingly only available on the BBC site
until Friday, so take that into consideration, and trust us when we
tell you that this will be the sexiest couple of hours you'll have all
week.Bonus mix: Some website I have never heard of, play.fm, recently posted another mix
from our dudes in promotion of the aforementioned mix CD. It's a little over
an hour and prominently features both "spottieottiedopalicious" and "Somebody's
Watching Me", so you know it's worth your while.
