Pete Wentz to debut new solo band in New England tomorrow

For those of you who can't keep track, PETE WENTZ was the pretty one in arena-emo legends Fall Out Boy. But no more. Starting tomorrow (as in Thursday, October 14) he'll be the ugly one in BLACK CARDS, a new project ("band" might be pushing it) centered around French blog-house beats and the coquettish vocals of an unknown British bombshell named Bebe.

The duo -- or whatever this translates to onstage -- make their first-ever performance on Thursday at the Webster Theater in Hartford. They'll follow that up with a show Friday at Club Hell in Providence.

A little math:

[combined audience of both of these shows] < [the crew on the last Fall Out Boy tour]

We sure hope this turns out better than that time we accidentally caught the solo debut by PATRICK STUMP (aka the Ugly One in Fall Out Boy). Because as you may remember, that gig didn't go so well
